Tell us a little about yourself.
I have a busy neurology practice at CAMC. My family is my priority and we love to be on the boat, skiing and snowboarding. I never miss a dance competition or travel/high school baseball game.
What is your most memorable CrossFit experience?
Finally being able to do more than one double-under.
Why did you try CrossFit?
I am an old power lifter and had been out of the gym for several years. They constant nagging of one of my good friends led me to my first workout and I was immediately hooked. My time is very limited and the hour long workouts and very close proximity to my office makes Revved Up CrossFit the perfect choice.
What has been your biggest challenge or improvement?
Completeing the Murph unassisted with a weighted vest, and finally doing the open workouts at prescription weight.
What is your favorite workout?
It would have to be a tossup between DT, Grace and of course Cindy.
What advice would you give to a new member?
The hardest part is walking through the door. CrossFit is my Prozac, Lipitor and blood pressure medicaiton. We are not a cult. We are a family with the common interest to have fun and stay healthy. My whole family works out here. There are no strangers and the coaching staff is first class, you never miss leg day and there is no guesswork. I learn something new every day and I am better than I was yesterday. They also allow you to use as much chalk as you want!
