Tell us a little about yourself.
I am from Fraziers Bottom, WV. I am amrried to my husband Shane and we have three children, Raechel, Erica and Calem.
What is your most memorable CrossFit experience?
My most memorable CrossFit experience was the "Lumberjack 20". It was awful in a good way. It had everything including seven 400 meter runs. On my last 400 meter run I was ready to quit and just walk. Casey saw me struggling and ran the last 400 meters with me. It meant a lot.
Why did you try CrossFit?
I tried CrossFit becasue it looked fun and it was something different. I just couldn't get up the nerve to go in by myself so I asked my daughter, Erica, if she would go with me.
What has been your biggest challenge or improvement?
My biggest challenge is form. I have metal rods along my spine and proper form is always a challenge for me. I work constantly and I love the days when someone says my form is good.
What is your favorite workout?
My favorite workout would have to be the ones that don't involve running. I prefer prowlers, sledge hammers and medicine ball slams!
What advice would you give to a new member?
My advice to new members would be to come in and do the WOD even if you don't like it or you aren't very good at it. those WODs are the ones that will make you stronger both physically and mentally. And have fun!! the people here are some of the best around!
