Tell us a little about yourself.
I am a freshman at Hurricane High School. I enjoy hanging out with my friends, traveling and doing CrossFit!
What is your most memorable CrossFit experience?
Doing the hero WOD DT. I have done it a couple of times and every time I’ve been able to use a little bit heavier weight and still be faster too! I love having that feeling of accomplishment.
Why did you try CrossFit?
I decided to give CrossFit a try because I had been a competitive swimmer for almost 4 years and decided I wanted to try something new. Plus I needed to get stronger, and CrossFit has definitely improved my strength!
What has been your biggest challenge or improvement?
Back squats! I used to really hate them, but slowly and surely I am starting to like doing them
What is your favorite workout?
My favorite is DT. Lifting weights is my strong suit and DT is all barbell movements. It’s a fast WOD, but for sure one of the toughest.
What advice would you give to a new member?
DON’T STOP! The coaches can adjust a WOD to anyone’s skill level. Don’t come in thinking that you will have to do muscle ups or rope climbs, because you won’t have to. Just take your time and before you know it you’ll be Rxing a WOD
