Steve Woomer, CF-L1

Steve was born and raised in Charleston, WV and attended WV Wesleyan College and Marshall University.  By day he is a partner in Woomer, Nistendirk & Associates, PLLC, a CPA firm in Charleston.

His passion for fitness started slowly, but grew quickly once he entered his first competition in Clarksburg, WV.  He has been hooked ever since.  He has qualified for, and placed, in the 50 and over division in the WV Open and in 2017 he was first in WV in the CrossFit Open workouts (in the 55+ division).

Steve is a CrossFit Level 1 trainer.  He is our most mature coach (i.e. oldest), but he is still driven to learn new things and become a better athlete and coach.  He has an insatiable desire to learn more efficient and improved ways to perform and teach movements, lifts and skills and is constantly reading, studying and researching, whether it be nutrition, gymnastics, programming or lifting.  He believes that the Elite Fitness Class program is a great program for all ages, from teenager to senior citizen, and it can lead to a more productive, happier and healthier life.

Steve teaches some early morning classes and evening classes and is the lead instructor for our Sunday Gymnastics/Metcon class.  His goal is to help our members become healthy and fit individuals and better athletes.
